I reuse my plastic spray bottles so that I can make my own cleaning products. Mine are always falling apart since I will reuse them over and over. I was eyeing the glass sparkling water bottle (from Trader Joe’s) recently. The bottle was a nice shape and good size. The label came off easily and the handle from my old spray bottle fit perfectly. I just added my vinegar and water and I was good to go! This project took about 10 minutes. It was super easy.
I would recommend using a water resistant label for the bottle. The bottle is going to get wet and if the label is not water resistant then it will just start to disintegrate like paper.
P.S. I have used a permanent sharpie and wrote on the bottle, but it does NOT last.
Thanks again
I read your post but it the end reads: The bottle is going to get wet and if the label is not water resistant then it will just start to disintegrate like paper. Here are a few options. It did not tell the options. Could you please share what options to use on a bottle that will not wear off with water or what you used on your bottle. Also did you but the sprayer separate or take it from an old bottle? Thanks so much!
Hi Sharon,
Thanks for the comment. You have a very good point so left me fill you in. I used a water resistant label. I gave a few options in the shop the post section at the bottom of the page. Also, I just reused a sprayer from another plastic spray bottle. I would test out the sprayer and the bottle before filling up the bottle with cleaner. I found out that not all sprayers fit.
Thanks again!
Beth
