In the last few years, I’ve phased out as many chemical cleaners from my house as possible. I started with my all purpose, general cleaner and started using an plain old vinegar and water recipe. To take it up a knotch, I usually make Lemon Scented Vinegar. I bought a huge bag of grapefruit and while I found a few recipes (here and here) to use them up but then you’re left with a lot of rinds. Why throw them out when they are still useful? So, I used my Lemon Scented Vinegar recipe and replaced the lemon rind for grapefruit. It’s a nice smell. Very similar to lemon but a slightly more subtle. It’s a nice change from the norm.
What do you think? Have you tried my DIY Grapefruit Scented Vinegar?
